This fall Farmers Business Network and ADM announced that they have launched a joint venture, Gradable. The new company is an expansion of the Gradable technology platform that has been enabling FBN customers to enroll in programs that provide a premium for grain produced using sustainable and regenerative practices.
Diego Casanello is the new CEO of FBN and he says that the expansion of Gradable will allow more farmers to derive value from grain produced using sustainable practices.
Casanello says that the expansion of Gradable will make it possible for any growers to get involved in the programs that they qualify for.
He says that the Gradable platform has become an industry leader in matching farmers to the sustainability programs that can benefit their bottom line via premiums.
He says that many farmers already qualify for sustainability-based premiums with their farming practices but Gradable has greatly expanded their access to these programs.
According to FBN, Gradable has 20,000 farmer users across more than 12 million acres. It has scored more than 200 million bushels of corn and soybeans and facilitates over $30 million in financial incentives for sustainable practices each year.
