We have been seeing some record-breaking land prices in Iowa in the past few months, and the trend just isn?t being seen within our borders. The prices for good farmland have continued to remain high despite the economic setbacks we have had so far this year.

Randy Dickhut is Senior Vice President of Real Estate Options at the Farmers National Company. He gives us an analysis of what is giving strength to this land market. One of the main drivers is grain prices.

Even though the trend may be starting to turn, the prices for high quality farmland continues to be strong and set new records.
