Matt Gent is now the past President of the Iowa Pork Producers Association. He moves into the role after serving as the President of the IPPA last year. Aaron Juergens has taken over as the new President of the organization for 2025.
Gent tells the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network that he learned a lot in his job as President over the past 12 months.
He says the IPPA along with the National Pork Board has been working hard to build demand for pork products. Gent says it’s important to not only get consumers attention but to keep them buying pork.
Gent says that it is necessary for IPPA and other pork groups to offer a voice for individual producers in the industry.
