Colfax Sheep Auction: January 17, 2015

COLFAX, Iowa – Numbers at the weekly Colfax sheep auction are beginning to increase, with a pickup in new crop lambs hitting the market. 241 head of sheep and 65 head of goats sold, with feeder lambs averaging $2.20 per pound. Fed lambs brought in $1.41 on average, and prices on goats ranged from $120-$172.50 per head.
