Catching up with Iowa Cattlemen at NCBA in Houston

by | Feb 7, 2022 | 5 Ag Stories, News

The Iowa Cattlemen?s Association sent several representatives to Houston, Texas last week for the 2022 NCBA Convention.

Bob Noble, president of the Iowa Cattlemen?s Association, tells the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network that ICA had a strong contingent in Houston advocating on behalf of Iowa?s cattle farmers.

Noble says one issue in particular that ICA is keeping a close eye on is WOTUS, or Waters of the U.S. ICA leadership last month said it feels the country must remain consistent with the Clean Water Act and prior Supreme Court ruling that limit federal regulation of small bodies of water.

Noble adds while there were many events taking place at convention this year, a lot of time was spent discussing policy.
