Carbon markets aren’t just for grain producers to take advantage of. Livestock producers can also utilize certain grazing practices to get some extra revenue from carbon market programs. Del Ficke of Graze Master talked about the opportunities that are available to farmers through their partnership with Agoro Carbon.
These practices aren’t just beneficial from a financial standpoint- they are also great for soil health. Ficke said that in itself, too, will help bring more money back to producers.
Ficke said many producers are already using some form of a lot of these practices, so often times the change just requires becoming more involved in those practices in order to start receiving carbon market benefits.
