Working cattle isn’t easy. In fact, it can be incredibly difficult to get your entire herd through a chute for seasonal checkups with your vet. That’s why it’s a good idea to find each and every way you can make that process as easy as possible. Dakota Belling and Eugene Meyer, founders of Bovi-Jet, have teamed up to bring a new innovation to cattle producers: an automatic pour-on product applicator. Belling said this eliminates the need to apply those pharmaceutical products manually, which increases processing efficiency.

With the current labor shortages affecting livestock producers, Belling said Bovi-Jet can fill in the need for extra workers to apply pour-on medications.

An automated spraying system may seem complicated, but Belling said it’s actually pretty simple and adaptable for all sorts of cattle operations.

Belling said the idea for Bovi-Jet came from a class project he and Meyer worked on at Iowa State University.

Belling added that they have a website and an Instagram account for producers to learn more and get in touch.
