The Biden administration is taking steps to highlight the impact of the bipartisan infrastructure law on rural America.

White House officials on Monday released a new ?Rural Playbook? for the Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act to help state, local, Tribal, and territorial governments in rural areas unlock the benefits from the law?s historic investments.

USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack says the administration has also launched a rural infrastructure tour to engage rural communities across the U.S.

?It?s going to basically send a very strong message to rural Americans that they are not being left out of this historic bill,? said Vilsack.

Vilsack says President Biden?s bipartisan infrastructure law will send billions of dollars to rural communities across the country.

?Almost a billion dollars in conservation investments that are really focused on trying to prevent devastation of losing everything from a flood or allowing folks to more quickly get starting up again after a disaster strikes,? said Vilsack. ?And $2 billion in expanded access to high-speed internet.?

Vilsack says more than $100 billion has been announced and allocated to states from formula
and competitive programs for roads and highways, bridges, ports, airports, electric vehicle charging stations, water systems, high speed internet, weatherization and clean energy.
