On Thursday United States Attorney General Todd Blanche and Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward visited the Iowa Ag Radio Network at the Iowa State Fair to discuss some of the most prominent agriculture issues relevant to the Department of Justice’s responsibilities.
One of those issues is the consolidation within the fertilizer industry which some farmers blame for reducing competition and increasing fertilizer costs. Attorney General Blanche tells the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network that the Department of Justice is very familiar with the concerns of farmers regarding fertilizer prices.
Attorney General Blanche says that many government agencies are working together to address high fertilizer prices for Iowa’s farmers.
Associate Attorney General Woodward says that it is important for farmers to have the information available that details the multiple factors that combine to create high fertilizer prices.
That was United States Attorney General Todd Blanche and Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward.
