In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. -John 1:4
My husband is an outdoorsman through and through. This time of year involves thorough searches for ticks that may have attached to him while he was out fishing.
Ticks need energy from host blood to grow, develop, and survive. They latch on and do not easily let go of their host.
Just like ticks need to attach to a source, so also do we as humans.
We need to attach ourselves to the source of life (Jesus), who helps us grow, develop, and survive.
Would would happen if we decided to latch onto Jesus and not easily let go?
So, ask yourself today, what are you attaching to? Who is your source?
Be careful that you’re not attaching to the wrong thing.
Prayer: “God, thank you for being my source of life. Help me to attach to you and not let go whatever comes my way. Thank you for supplying me with what I need. In your name I pray, Amen.”
