The 26th Annual Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade wrapped up on Wednesday with a day three route northeast of Mount Pleasant and a return to Mount Pleasant for lunch and a closing ceremony.

Each year a different host city is homebase for the Tractorcade with the Old Thresher’s grounds in Mount Pleasant, the designated start and stop point for the three-day tractor ride this year.

Around 350 tractors and drivers participated in this year’s event with daily routes to communities around Mount Pleasant including Washington, Germanville, Wayland, Hillsboro, Keosauqua, and Yarmouth.

Eugene Bruhn, a first-time driver in Tractorcade from Miles Iowa is 92 years old and says he was excited to drive this year.

Ronnie Mausser of Oelwein says the best part of Tractorcade is the friendships built over years of participating.

Stan Misbach, a driver from Marengo Iowa, says he has driven in all 26 Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcades and it is part of his family tradition.

Thank you to the staff of News/Talk 1540 KXEL, the host communities, sponsors, volunteers, and riders for another successful Tractorcade.
