Many new college graduates are out looking for jobs to start their careers, and the ag industry is a good place to begin. A company in Massena, Iowa, is dedicated to helping those recent graduates find their starting point in agriculture. Tammy Jensen, president of AgriCareers Recruiting Service, said there are a few areas where graduates should start looking.
Jensen said those jobs on the service side of the ag industry are in high demand, but they’re also hard to fill.
Jensen said it’s smart to go after jobs that are in demand, because that can start off your career with a good paycheck.
Many of these high-demand jobs are less than glamorous, so Jensen said graduates need to be willing to get their hands dirty.
