AFBF President comments on tariff consequences

As the Trump administration continues with plans to implement tariffs on our top trade partners, farmers across the country are preparing to deal with the consequences. In a recent ag policy commentary provided to farm broadcasters by the American Farm Bureau Federation, AFBF President Zippy Duvall said it’s important for the ag industry to maintain access to global markets.

Duvall said the three tariff targets- Mexico, Canada, and China- account for half of our ag exports.

Moving forward, Duvall said he hopes any resulting disruptions can be resolved quickly.
