Ag companies are working with farmers to be even better stewards of the land. They are supporting and sometimes incentivizing these practices, which helps reduce input costs.
Dustin Madison manages the agronomic, conservation, and fertility operations of the Engle Family Farms in Virginia and North Carolina. He is part of the Perdue Sustainability Program, which collaborates with the ForGround by Bayer program. He talks about the positive results they are seeing.
None of the methods used are one-size-fits-all for every farm, or even every acre for that matter. You must be willing to tinker with the practices to find the right combination for your operations.
