Oil prices moved higher at the start of the week, driven primarily by ongoing attacks between Russia and Ukraine. While oil prices inched higher, Patrick DeHaan with Gasbuddy.com noted that fuel prices were more mixed.
California currently has the highest national average diesel price in the U.S. at $8.36 per gallon. Washington state is at $7.33 per gallon, and Hawaii is at $7.22.
When it comes to diesel, President Donald Trump announced a plan to have Russia ship more than 300,000 metric tons of diesel, or 2.25 million barrels, to the United States. DeHaan says this announcement has created a host of questions that have yet to be addressed by the Administration.
