The August WASDE and crop reports will be published by USDA on Wednesday August 12th and will feature the latest USDA yield estimates and updated acreage numbers. The reports will be published at 11:00 AM central time on Wednesday.
Eric Relph of Commstock Investments says that traders will likely immediately react to the yield numbers based on their positions they had going into the report which relied on trade estimates.
If USDA’s numbers are similar to the trade estimates, Relph says that traders could settle into positions quickly.
He adds that he is closely watching the trade in the lead up to the Wednesday morning reports.
