Enter Your Big Bull by August 1
This Is No Bull! Thanks to a generous boost from Chemorse Chemical and the Roadside Bar-and-Grill—and an enthusiastic push from 2024 Super Bull exhibitor Gary Ruebel—the first prize for this year’s Super Bull competition is now a jaw-dropping $5,000. Ruebel enjoyed the thrill of the contest so much last year that he wanted to help make this year’s event even more exciting for fellow competitors. Premiums for the second place and third place bulls are now $1,500 and $1,000 respectively and any bull that officially enters and weighs will receive $150.

Plus, an additional $1,000 will be paid from the Iowa State Fair to the owner of the heaviest bull if its weight breaks the present record of 3,404 lbs.
Bulls will be weighed in at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7.
Entries should include:
Name or some identification of the bull
Bull’s breed
Exhibitor’s name, address, and telephone number.
E-mail your intent to enter to cattle@iowastatefair.org
*There is no fee to enter.
The deadline to enter is August 1, 2025.
Must be a serviceable bull used in a current breeding program.
Bull must be alive and pass the health requirements of the Iowa State Fair
