Corn rootworm is a pest that robs farmers of yields every year. When fighting against it, though, it’s important to make sure that you’re not relying on just one method. Wen Carter, marketing manager with AMVAC, said there was a notable amount of corn rootworm pressure this year.
Carter said most corn rootworm management needs to be done during the growing season.
Carter said INDEX Liquid At-Plant Insecticide offers two modes of action against corn rootworm, which creates a broad spectrum of control and resistance management.
Carter said AMVAC also offers a new bioinsecticide called BioWake Prime, which offers even more modes of action to mitigate corn rootworm damage.
