Clean Fuels Alliance partners with PepsiCo for a B100 Fleet

For decades we have been touting the benefits of ethanol and biodiesel. Not only is it renewable and cheaper than standard fuels, it is also better for the environment. That is why we are seeing more conversions to high blends of biofuels across the country. It adds to the credibility of our home-grown biofuels when a large company begins converting its fleet of semis to B100 biodiesel, which is exactly what PepsiCo has done.

Heather Buechter is with the Clean Fuels Alliance and tells us about this new move for PepsiCo’s fleet.

Not only is this a smart move for the environment, but it also speaks to their efforts to assure their customers they are doing the right thing. The upfront investment of converting their fleet will be offset by the fuel savings and reducing their carbon footprint.

While PepsiCo went to B100, we are seeing conversions happen to many different blends of biofuels. Buechter says that this isn’t the BioDiesel of 30 years ago.

Buechter says that they could not make any of this happen without the hard work of America’s soybean farmers. She adds that agreements like this are a great benefit to our producers.
