Gathering data from soil tests is one of the best ways to address the needs of your crops. However, some of that data can be very complicated, so it needs to be run through the best methods and technology available in order to become actionable goals. Matt Fryer, field agronomist with Koch Agronomic Services, said soil testing isn’t perfect, but it can be refined for farmers to use more easily.

Fryer said it’s important to remember that the recommendations that come from soil studies are going to be significantly more than what the plants will actually use.

Fryer said they offer a product, WOLF TRAX, that will help plants get the level of micronutrients they need without overapplying.
