Earlier this week the Food Bank of Iowa received a grant from State Farm to support their goal of mobile food distribution and to help Iowans recover from last month’s tornado outbreak. The funds will provide the equivalent of tens of thousands of nutritious meals, which will support families that are still recovering from that storm outbreak. Annette Hacker, vice president of communications with the Food Bank of Iowa, said the donation came at a great time.

Hacker said the Food Bank of Iowa’s relief efforts include more than just meals.

Lindsey Mucciolo of State Farm said that relief efforts like this fit in well with their mission to help people offset risk.

Mucciolo added that State Farm is continuing to help people recover from the storm outbreak.
