Growing world record soybeans

by | Mar 22, 2024 | 5 Ag Stories, News

Farmers start every growing season to grow the best crop they can and improve their yields year after year. Certainly, we can grow high-yielding crops, and in soybeans we turn heads the closer we get to those triple-digit yields. But what if you could grow over 200 bushels per acre? It is possible, but it does take a lot of work to make it happen.

Alex Harrell is a South Georgia farmer and uses Asgrow seeds. He grew a world record 206.7997 bushels per acre. He talks about what it takes to make that happen.

Of course, it all starts with the seed you choose. Harrell talks about why his farm plants Asgrow.

First and foremost, Harrell says these plots they are growing are for them to tweak what works on their fields. The world record was just icing on the cake.

Harrell says it is a team effort that requires a lot of support.
