Precision ag technology providing new tools for farmers

As precision ag technology continues to make advances in almost every area of agriculture, farmers are uncovering new tools to make their operation as efficient and cost friendly as possible. One of the latest technological advancements from Precision Planting is the Clarity system which helps strip-till farmers to monitor blockage.

In the past, blockage systems on air seeders and drills were capable of simply telling you if a blockage was occurring or not. Josh Stoller with Precision Planting says that the Clarity system allows farmers to learn information previously unavailable to them.

Clarity can tell a grower the amount of product flowing through each sensor and a row-by-row comparison with the product magnitude readout. The product uniformity reading shows how evenly the system is delivering product to each row. Clarity also offers row-by-row mapping to allow the user to see if there is a blockage or a drop in product flow.

Stoller says Clarity allows the user to visualize product flow and information on the standard Gen 3 20|20 monitor.
