Targeted in-crop spraying is available from John Deere in the form of John Deere’s See & Spray technology. According to John Deere, See & Spray Ultimate can reduce non-residual herbicide use by more than two-thirds by target spraying weeds. However, in addition to See & Spray Ultimate John Deere also offers a retrofit smart sprayer option in the form of See & Spray Premium.
See & Spray Ultimate was unveiled last year and offers a dual product system which allows for broadcast and targeted spraying simultaneously, it also features a stable 120 foot carbon fiber boom which utilizes BoomTrac™ Ultimate for boom height control. This spring, John Deere rolled out See & Spray Premium which is a retrofit smart spraying system.
That’s Tim Deinert a marketing manager with John Deere. Deinert says the retrofit process to install See & Spray Premium on an existing sprayer is not time consuming.
Deinert says the smart spraying technology retrofit is compatible with most sprayers model year 2018 and newer. He says a retrofit option provides John Deere customers the option to upgrade their sprayer technology without needing to buy a completely new sprayer.
