Whoever loves money never has enough;
whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.

There’s this famous commercial from Capital One that always asks, What’s in your wallet?”
But really, what’s in your wallet?
Most of us would not consider ourselves rich. But, if we had to be honest, most of us are doing okay.
Jesus said it would be hard for people like us to enter the Kingdom.
My trips to Haiti always amaze me, because I am reminded how much the people know Jehovah God, their provider. They fully depend on Him to supply their every need. If it’s not a necessity, they don’t need it.
I know God as my provider, but I do not know Him in the same way the Haitians do. It’s harder for us to rely on Jesus, because a lot of the time our money takes good care of us.
As followers of Jesus we are given in abundance so that we can care for others abundantly.
So, what’s in your wallet? Are you using it for God or for self?
Prayer: “God, thank you for being my provider. Help me to serve you with what’s inside my wallet that you may be glorified and others may be blessed. In your name I pray, Amen.”
