History of the station:
KIOW started in 1978 when Tony and Sue Coloff started the station. The company has grown to include 11 stations covering North Central and Northeast Iowa. Jim Coloff, Tony and Sue?s son, is now the owner of the whole company.
KIOW serves North Iowa with complete weather coverage, especially severe weather events, ag programming including the CommStock Report and IARN. They cover high school, Waldorf University and Iowa State University sports.
