Commodity Classic is an extremely important event for all commodity groups, and the corn industry is no different. The event provides a great opportunity to network and learn from farmers across the country. Several delegates from the Iowa Corn Growers Association are down in Orlando for the National Corn Growers Association Corn Congress. Iowa Corn farmer Larry Buss said it?s a great time to discuss policy.
Buss said that the 2023 Farm Bill- and more specifically, crop insurance- is the number one topic of discussion.
Buss said that the farm bill should seek to preserve what works from the current crop insurance programs.
Buss said that ethanol and carbon sequestration have also been hot topics of discussion.
