As we approach the end of February, we get that much closer to the new farm bill. There?s a lot of things that farmers want to see in this year?s legislation, but, by and large, the number one sentiment is to keep the things that work intact. Iowa 2nd District Congresswoman Ashley Hinson said she has been visiting a variety of discussions throughout her district to make sure everyone?s voices are heard.
There are a variety of ways for producers to make their voices heard, whether they attend an area forum or reach out directly to Hinson?s office. Regardless, Hinson said it?s important that farmers tell their stories, because that?s the best way to prove which policies work or don?t work.
