The House Ag Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities and Risk Management held a public hearing last week on the next Farm Bill, hearing from cotton, rice, peanut, canola, sunflower and sugar producers. Much of the discussion had to do with cotton, and the need to get it into the ARC and PLC programs. Texas Congressman Jodey Arrington sounded the alarm.
?I want to help us get cotton back in the Farm Bill. It?s the only one not in the Farm Bill. It?s sucking air. Help! I don?t know how much time we have.?
