Colfax Sheep Auction: March 28, 2015

COLFAX, Iowa – The Easter period brings high demand for lamb, as evidenced by the action at the weekly market in Colfax.

This past Saturday, 829 head of sheep sold, with feeder lambs averaging $2.31 per pound. Fed lambs brought in an average $1.47 per pound, while prices on the 131 head of goats ranged from $132.50 to $190 per head.
