Colfax Sheep Auction: August 9, 2014

COLFAX, Iowa – The August 9 Sheep and Goat market in Colfax had a good run of 549 head of sheep and 168 head of goats, fewer sheep and goats than the prior week. Feeder lambs fetched the day’s high average price at $2.01/lb, while fed lambs brought in $1.51/lb. Prices on goats ranged from $77.50-$147.50/head.
