Colfax Sheep Auction: July 26, 2014

COLFAX, Iowa – The July 26 Sheep and Goat market in Colfax had a good run of 590 head of sheep and 247 head of goats, more sheep and goats than the prior week. Feeder lambs fetched the day’s high average price at $1.81/lb, while fed lambs brought in $1.52/lb. Prices on goats ranged from $175-$200/head. Several registered milking nannies also sold between $250-$260/head.
