Giving growers options for the planting season

by | Feb 23, 2023 | 5 Ag Stories, News

The state of Iowa has seen a wide range of weather outcomes over the past year. Summer 2022 was very dry in western Iowa, while the eastern portion of the state received much more moisture. This winter, northern Iowa has been blanketed by snow while central and southern Iowa have had a much milder winter season.

Will Tubbs is a market development specialist for Corteva crop protection and he says that different weather patterns in the state of Iowa have growers wondering about weed pressure in the spring season.

Tubbs says one of the biggest benefits of the Enlist weed control system is that it is not a rigid plan, but instead provides a lot of options.

Tubbs says there are always a few key points for growers to consider when selecting the correct trait for their operation.

He says that farmers need to be planning now in order to guarantee effective applications in the spring by choosing the correct sprayer nozzles with the right mix in order to ensure coverage.
