Two Iowa State professors to be inducted into Meat Industry Hall of Fame

Two Iowa State professors will be inducted as new members of the Meat Industry Hall of Fame.

ISU meat specialists Dr. Joe Sebranek and Dr. Joe Cordray will be inducted into the Meat Industry Hall of Fame in January. Dr. Sebranek is thrilled to be inducted.

Other new members who will be inducted include:

Clayton Yeutter, United States Secretary of Agriculture (1989 to 1991) and Counselor to the President (1992);

Chuck Hendryx, Vice President of Meat, H -E -B Grocery Company;

Sam Stein, Founder and Chairman, Chef’s Pantry and Sam Stein Associates;

Sam Kane, Founder, Sam Kane Beef Processors, and C. Larry Pope, President and Chief Executive Officer, Smithfield Foods.
