When it comes to diseases, Iowa has been getting introduced to tar spot as it spreads across the state. He says this is not something that Iowa producers can afford to ignore any longer.
Scouting diseases like tar spot are very important. It has been noted that by the time a producer sees the signs of tar spot in the field, it is already too late. Copeland talks about resources available from FMC to help farmers know what they are looking for earlier, so they can get ahead.
