It is only a few weeks away. Thousands of people from all over the globe will descend on the Iowa State Fairgrounds for the 35th World Pork Expo. The event runs from June 7-9 and offers educational forums, the latest in pork production technology, and always great food.
Alayne Johnson is with the National Pork Board. She is telling us about the unique opportunities to learn from industry leaders.
Of course, no matter what people come for, they will never leave hungry. There are so many great food options, including the tradition of the Big Grill.
The National Pork Board will offer visitors information about the Pork Checkoff?s tools available to combat foreign animal diseases?things like AgView, US SHIP, Secure Pork Supply, and the Certified Swine Sample Collectors program.
Johnson encourages visitors to stop by the National Pork Board booth.
There is still time to register for the World Pork Expo at worldpork.org.
