With the current partisan stalemate in Congress in Washington D.C. it is going to be difficult to get a new farm bill passed.
That’s according to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.
On Monday Ag Secretary Vilsack told a group of visiting farmers union members that there is only one way that a new farm bill gets passed.
Vilsack says that yes, a farm bill could raise farm program reference prices.
If lawmakers cannot find a compromise on a practical farm bill, Vilsack says it will be difficult to get a bill passed by the end of the year.
That’s Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack.
