An often overlooked but vital aspect of rural life is the safety and maintenance of highways, roads and bridges. Minnesota Farm Bureau President Dan Glessing recently testified before the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee’s Subcommittee on Highways and Transit and talked about the importance of maintaining rural roadways.
Glessing said it’s more important now than ever for farmers and ranchers to make their voices heard with their elected officials.
Glessing added that the first step in getting involved in advocating for agriculture is to join a group, where many voices come together with the same message.
