Export sales were looking better for a couple weeks, but that might be reversing already. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride gave an update on the latest U.S. export sales report.

Mexico also made a flash purchase of U.S. corn, but that?s sending mixed signals considering the fact that they are still planning on cutting out imports of GMO corn eventually.

Today also saw a potential derecho tear through parts of the corn belt. There are reports of crop damage coming in already, but McBride it?s too early to predict the effect that derecho will have on the USDA?s crop expectations.

McBride also provided some advice for Iowa producers.
