The pattern of strong export sales has continued, and this week was even stronger than the last. This is a far cry from the way we ended the last marketing year. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride gave an update on the latest numbers from the USDA.
Flash sales have also been consistent lately, but the volume of those sales tended to be a bit disappointing. Fortunately, McBride said that volume picked up significantly this week.
The strong numbers have allowed both corn and soybeans to make up ground on a slow start that was caused by carry-over from last marketing year.
