South American Weather and Crop Update (7-16-24)

For the most part, the weather is still dry in Brazil and Argentina. While this is creating long-term concerns, it is at the very least allowing harvest to progress at a brisk pace. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride gave an update on the latest conditions.

Safrinha harvest in Brazil is very far ahead of the usual pace at this point.

McBride said it’s a similar story for the corn harvest in Argentina as well.

McBride added that this fall will bring a greater focus on the South American weather.
