Once again, the weather hasn?t changed too much down in South America. Brazil has some good rain in the forecast, and Argentina is beyond any saving from the weather at this point. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride provided an update on the latest conditions.
McBride said that soybean harvest is just about done in Brazil, which means that safrinha corn planting is almost finished too.
Yesterday, Argentina officially started its soy dollar program. However, McBride said it got off to a pretty disappointing start.
The USDA also released the April WASDE report today. McBride said Brazilian soy numbers increased more than expected, and Argentina numbers continue to slide.
McBride also provided some advice for Iowa producers.
