The monsoonal rains have finally manifested in South America, which will start to ease some concerns about the dry climate. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride gave an update on the latest weather patterns in Brazil and Argentina.

Since the soil is much different in South America, McBride said they will need as much rain as they can get.

While Brazil is still behind on planting, McBride said it’s too early to raise any major concerns.

McBride added that corn planting is now underway in Argentina as well.
