U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa holds a weekly conference call with ag broadcasters and reporters. This week Senator Grassley was asked if he thinks a farm bill can be completed and agreed upon by September of 2023 or whether the deadline will have to be extended.
Grassley says he would prefer some changes to the Senate?s schedule in order to get more time to work on the farm bill.
Senator Grassley was also asked to compare the difficulty of crafting the farm bill this year compared to previous versions of the farm bill creation process.
