Rural Americans are disproportionately impacted by many health conditions, as found by studies compiled by the National Grange. One of the most serious conditions is cardiovascular disease. Chris Hamp, President of the National Grange, said their work revealed the complex reasons why rural Americans struggle with cardiovascular issues more than their urban counterparts.
While the issue of improving cardiovascular health in rural America must be addressed, Hamp said that’s not the only difficult question the country faces.
Hamp noted that the National Grange worked with pharmacists, doctors, and researchers to compile this data. For more information, visit nationalgrange.org.
