National Pork Board’s Real Pork Scholars Program is a prestigious cohort-based program designed to build capacity for research and communication in the next generation of leaders in the U.S. pork industry. Current Scholar Lindsey Britton said the program helps students gain skills and relationships that they wouldn’t get just from being in the lab.

Britton said the program gives them a lot of training on how to communicate effectively with peers, producers, and consumers.

Britton added that the Real Pork Scholars Program can help shape the future careers of young people going into the pork industry.
