Sustainability in agriculture is a big focus for much of the industry in 2024. Sustainability in animal agriculture is a holistic approach to raising livestock in which farmers do more with less and in the process can increase profitability by using fewer resources.

At World Pork Expo 2024 the Alltech pork team was featured in the business seminar series and highlighted U.S. pork’s role as the world’s leading sustainable and profitable pork production industry.

Andy Rash is the General Manager of Alltech’s pork business team, and he simplifies what the sustainable approach to pork production means for producers.

Mark Hulsebus is the Sales and Portfolio Director of Alltech’s pig business team, and he says that raising hogs with sustainable practices leads to more profitability for producers.

Rash says that in trying to find answers for the challenges faced by producers, the path often leads to helping producers find solutions through sustainable practices.

Not only does raising pork sustainably help solve problems for producers in 2024, but it can also set up operations for long term success and prosperity.
