This week is American Clean Power Week at the Iowa State Fair, and yesterday was Power Up Iowa Day, as officially declared by Governor Kim Reynolds. American Clean Power (ACP) CEO Jason Grumet said Iowa has been a big part of the clean power industry for decades.
Grumet said the official proclamation from Governor Reynolds is just part of her long-term dedication to promoting clean power as a valuable part of Iowa’s economy.
Grumet said that not only does clean power bring some dependable revenue for farmers, but it also increases the flow of money in local economies.
Grumet said clean power fits naturally into the farmer’s goal of sustainability as well.
Grumet added that the clean power industry is looking to expand its workforce in the next few years, which means that more and more people can work in a family-sustaining career.
