Pioneer Z-Series soybeans deliver high yields and strong defensive traits

Pioneer soybeans have a strong legacy of research and development, with Pioneer celebrating its 50th year of breeding soybeans in 2023. In 2024 that legacy of soybean research and development is on display in the form of the new Z-Series Soybeans.

As seed technologies continue to make advancements which allow for higher yields and stronger defensive traits, growers are also employing more management practices says Pioneer Soybean Marketing Leader Liz Knutson.

The Z-Series line of soybeans continues the agronomic advancements of the A-Series class of soybeans from Pioneer.

According to Pioneer in extensive IMPACT™ trials across the U.S., Z-Series soybeans delivered a 2.7 bu/A yield advantage versus current A-Series varieties.

Knutson says that the soybean breeding team at Pioneer knew it had something special when it was developing the Z-Series varieties.

As hard to control weeds continue to develop herbicide resistance and become tougher to kill, Knutson says that the Z-Series traits also have advanced to better deal with the toughest yield-threats.

According to Pioneer, the Z-Series soybean platform touts score improvements of 0.5 for SDS and 0.6 for white mold. Z-Series soybeans will advance 13 varieties in 2024.

Growers will have the option to plant Z-Series soybeans in 2024 with even more options available in 2025.
