US Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue is traveling to Ankeny Thursday afternoon for a multimillion-dollar ethanol investment announcement.
According to a press release from USDA, Perdue will join Senator Charles Grassley at the Ankeny Casey’s at 1024 East First Street at 3:10 p.m. The expected funding announcement will increase American ethanol and biofuel sales, and was made available through the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program (HBIIP).
Prior to the Ankeny stop, Secretary Perdue will spend the morning at Golden Grain Energy in Mason City. Stay tuned to our website later this week for coverage from the secretary’s visit to the state.
